The Whangaparaoa Peninsula takes in dozens of bays, some fantastic places to stay and a world of fun and adventure - from relaxing golf to exciting windsurfing and everything in between. And it's only 20 minutes from downtown Auckland!

The area takes in some of the best and most secluded beach areas including Red Beach, Stanmore Bay, Army Bay, Tindal's Bay, Arkles Bay and Te Haruhi Bay.

Inland are the delightful Manly Village and Shakespear Regional Park, and for people who like to shop there's the Plaza town centre mall offering anything you might need.

In addition, boaties will enjoy visiting Gulf Harbour with its world class facilities and nearby ferry terminal for access to Tiritiri Matangi Island and its wildlife reserve.

Whangaparaoa's coastline is a mixture of rugged cliffs and golden sandy beaches. You can choose to mingle with the crowds or get away from it all at one of the area's many remote locations.
