Map of Woodhill

Once upon a time Woodhill Forest was a sleepy area that few people visited. But today it is a place offering lots of fun, action and adventure. In fact it is probably one of the most thrilling places to visit in Rodney - thanks to the range of white-knuckle activities on offer.

Take your pick from thundering along cycle tracks, whizzing around a breath-taking obstacle course, roaring along in a four-wheel-drive vehicle, racing quad bikes or walking between the trees up to 14 metres above the ground - thrilling stuff. There's also range of flying foxes with the biggest being 150m long and 10m from the ground.

If you want to be a spectator then you can watch people of all ages have fun, even if your toes curl at the sight of them leaving the ground on their bikes as they launch themselves off one ramp to land on another.

With all these adventure activities going on you'd think the peace and quiet of the forest has been lost - but it hasn't. The forest, used in the film Narnia, is so large that you can easily lose yourself along its many walking and cycle tracks.

When it comes to adventure tourism Woodhill Forest really comes to the party. Consider yourself invited.
